Naturally good ending

A naturally good ending, feels like an itch that is satisfied on scratching. When we are interested in something, there is an urgent expectation that builds up, leading from one moment to the next.

A good ending bestows an immediate gratification that dissolves this tension into a relaxation, and that is the happiness we obtain, from following a story from beginning to its satisfactory conclusion.

The tension that builds up, the conflict, may be steep or gentle, the resolution at the end could be happy or sad, but it always releases the pressure that our attention was trapped into, while immersed in following a narration.

This satisfaction comes, from release of the concerns that are resolved, freeing our trapped focused attention to suddenly relax. The happiness which comes from an ending- not necessarily of something bad, or negative- emanates from the space that is vacated in its wake.

After remaining obscured for a while, with a compulsive need to follow something- when we are suddenly freed from this need- our simple empty awareness, is unveiled again!

Indulging in our passionate interest, exploring fully, giving it our total attention- without any restriction, or other distractions- until we are completely satisfied. Then, loosening the grip to gently release our hold on it, savouring the space and freedom which is left behind!

A relaxation emerges, when all our questions are answered, confusions cleared, conflicts resolved and contradictions explained. The field of our focused attention is emptied of all obstructions, leaving us in a feeling of open relief and contentment.

Having thoroughly understood all about something, after absorbing it’s essence, we become free from the need of perpetually holding on to it. We can naturally let it go, and move on.

In a flash of detachment, we suddenly find ourselves beyond it’s grip!

Once we have completely seen, known, understood, or experienced something, it becomes easy to transcend it. There is no sadness, no reluctance, as we welcome a new, clean, fresh beginning.

We come upon a moment, when we are alone once more, in the naked reality of our being, nothing else from outside masking it. This, is peace, joy, freedom and renewal!

Letting go, simply, is stopping completely, dropping it, walking away and never looking back- at that, which we have already outgrown. There are no efforts, no regrets, no hesitation- just leaving behind a naturally good ending!
